Gal Gadot Takes a COVID Test Before Returning to Red Notice Set

Gal Gadot shared a set of images on Twitter showing her getting a COVID-19 test before returning on set for Red Notice. While Gadot is best known for her roles in the Wonder Woman and Fast and Furious franchises, the star has recently taken on a slew of other projects as well, including highly-anticipated mystery-thriller Death on the Nile.

Red Notice is an upcoming action-comedy that's slated to premiere on Netflix. The film stars Gadot, alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. The film was in the middle of shooting when it was shut down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, recent posts from cast members show that filming has once again resumed for Red Notice. More specifically, Johnson posted an Instagram video announcing the film's return, although he says all cast and crew members will abide by strenuous health safety measures, including a "quarantine bubble."

Now, Gal Gadot has posted a pair of images on Twitter showing her taking a COVID-19 test before returning to filming. The star tweeted a set of side-by-side pictures, with the one on the left showing her receiving a COVID-19 test and the one on the right presumably in the aftermath. Gadot's accompanying caption reads that "prep looks a little different now" and followed this up with a hashtag that reads #staysafe. You can catch Gadot's tweet below:

Gadot also wears a shirt during her COVID-19 test that says "Après Corona," with the slogan beneath that reading "cannot wait for this sh*t to end." The shirt is released by Sol Angeles, where the item description says that the company wanted to use their "best assets 'Humor & Comfort'" to do good; moreover, part of the proceeds will be donated to the World Health Organization. As such, it's clear that Gadot is taking the pandemic in good stride and attempting to show her support for the WHO in whatever way she can.

While things will undoubtedly look a bit different on the set of Red Notice, it's nice to see celebrities normalize taking COVID-19 tests, especially as there's still resistance to the virus' seriousness throughout the United States. That being said, Johnson - who is a co-producer on Red Notice - has shown that he's taking the pandemic extremely seriously and isn't afraid to do take appropriate steps to safeguard the cast and crew. As a result, it's likely that Gadot's COVID-19 test will be one of many regular health measures that she and the other Red Notice stars will take part in.
