Pedro Pascal’s Reaction To New Baby Yoda Image Is Perfectly Adorable

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal reacts to a new Baby Yoda image from season 2. The Star Wars series became one of 2019's most talked about shows when it debuted in November. It was instantly an asset to new streaming service Disney+. Audiences were drawn in by Pascal's Mandalorian and other key characters. However, the show owes a big part of its success to Baby Yoda/The Child. Kept a secret until The Mandalorian premiered, Baby Yoda memes, toys, and other merchandise soon followed. Now, many are wondering what will happen to the beloved character in season 2, which debuts next month.

Though a trailer for the upcoming episodes hasn't been released yet, viewers did get a look at some new images earlier this week. They offered an idea of what's to come in The Mandalorian season 2, including the returns of Tusken Raiders and banthas. Other additions include the character Boba Fett and actor Rosario Dawson, who may be playing Ahsoka Tano. The new characters will have an impact on the scope of the show, with creator Jon Favreau explaining, "The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world." Of course, important characters from season 1 will remain, including Baby Yoda, who was featured in one of The Mandalorian's new season 2 images.

The photos provided an exciting look at the episodes, with the Baby Yoda photo an especially big hit. Even Pascal wasn't immune, reacting on Instagram with an adorable caption including the lyrics to "Baby Baby." He also reminded viewers of The Mandalorian's October 30 return in the same space. Check out Pascal's post below:

Pascal's made no secret of his love for Baby Yoda, calling him "a very easy-going scene partner." The actor's also revealed he knew the character would be a hit from the beginning, citing the first moment he saw an illustration of Baby Yoda. Pascal's reaction makes sense, considering his Mandalorian protects The Child at all costs. Audiences can expect more of that when season 2 finally premieres.

Anticipation for the upcoming episodes is at an all-time high, which should only increase once a trailer debuts. It should be coming soon and will hopefully offer even more clues about what's ahead on The Mandalorian. Viewers are looking forward to season 2 for a few reasons beyond just the story. For one, it's been nearly a year since season 1 premiered. For another, many shows aren't returning in the fall as usual due to the coronavirus pandemic. This makes The Mandalorian season 2 even more exciting. Hopefully, it lives up to the hype.
