Watch our exclusive clip from Raised By Wolves season 1, episode 6 which teases conflict among the children under the care of Mother and Father. The ambitious sci-fi series, executive produced by legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott, is the first dramatic TV show to debut on Warner Media's streaming service HBO Max. Created and written by Aaron Guzikowski, who wrote the script for Denis Villeneuve's thriller Prisoners, the show treads familiar territory for Scott, dealing as it does with religion, androids, the creation of life and the nature of humanity.
The central characters in the show - Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim) - are a pair of androids tasked with establishing a human colony on a virgin planet following a religious war that destroyed earth. They soon discover that it's more difficult than expected to raise children, and things are thrown into disarray when a spacecraft carrying a group of Mithraic, a religious sect, crash lands on the planet. Raised by Wolves debuted on HBO Max on September 3rd, and has released five episodes so far, the first two of which were directed by Scott, with his son, Luke, directing episodes three and four.
Screen Rant presents this exclusive clip from episode 6, "Lost Paradise", ahead of its debut on HBO Max on tonight - Thursday, September 17. The clip reveals that Paul (Felix Jamieson) has created a trap to help the small colony hunt the mysterious creatures that Father attempted to teach them to hunt in episode 4. While Father is happy to see Paul's ingenuity, Campion (Winta McGrath) is distressed at the thought of killing the animals. As you'll see in the clip below, things get heated pretty quickly.
The clip teases more conflict between Paul and Campion, a return to their state of mistrust after the two bonded in episode 5. There's no sign of the Mithraic adults, now led by Marcus (Travis Fimmel), in the clip, though he's sure to play a big part in events as he attempts to rescue Campion and the rest of the Mithraic children taken by Mother and Father. With Raised By Wolves now entering the second half of the season, events are certain to get more serious, with the two colonies on the planet destined to clash in some form or other.
Hopefully the upcoming episodes can recapture the urgency and tension created by the first two, with the show having suffered from something of a mid-season slump. Thankfully, the exclusive clip from episode 6 teases new conflict and the resolution of some plot threads that were set up in earlier episodes. It looks like Raised By Wolves is being set up for a thrilling season 1 finale.
