Stunning new Star Wars fan art envisions a possible Disney+ Mace Windu show. Jedi Master Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson) has been an extraordinarily popular Star Wars character since he was first introduced in the prequels. Mace has not only appeared in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars show - albeit voiced by Terrence "T.C." Carson, rather than Jackson - but has received his own comic book series as well.

Mace Windu's incredible story has been showcased through his various appearances in Star Wars-related media. Mace can not only see "shatterpoints" in the force but wields a violet lightsaber and developed Vaapad, a form of lightsaber combat. While Mace Windu is ultimately killed by Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, there's speculation that the Jedi Master managed to survive, especially since his body was never found.

Unique fan art by digital artist apexform envisions a moody Mace Windu TV show. Apexform casts William Jackson Harper as a young Mace Windu. The Jedi Master stands front and center, holding his trusty violet lightsaber and staring out at an unseen opponent, who wields a red lightsaber. Also, Jackson's face looks to be superimposed in the background. You can check out apexform's vision of a Mace Windu show below:

In his caption, apexform explains that he hopes The Good Place's Harper will take over the role of a younger Mace Windu. Harper played Chidi Anagonye on NBC's The Good Placewhich came to a tear-jerking end earlier this year. However, while Harper portrayed the indecisive philosophy professor to perfection, he's also showcased his acting range through projects like Midsommar. That being said, it may be unrealistic to bring Jackson back as a young Mace Windu, barring some extensive CGI; as such, Harper would be a strong choice if a Mace Windu show does get off the ground.

There are a myriad of potential stories that a Mace Windu live-action show could tackle, including how Mace received his violet lightsaber and his famed duel with Dathomir Nightsisters leader Mother Talzin. Although his life is cut short by Palpatine, Mace Windu has always stood out as one of the Jedi Council's most powerful members. While fans can always re-watch the Star Wars prequels to catch the Jedi Master in action, apexform's creation confirms the obvious: it's high time that Mace Windu received his own show.
