It has been announced that Travis VanWinkle and Shalita Grant have been cast for You season 3, set to play Joe and Love's new frenemies.
It has been announced that Travis VanWinkle and Shalita Grant have joined the cast of You season 3. You, which initially premiered on Lifetime back in 2018, went somewhat under the radar until season 1 made its way to Netflix, where it quickly became a phenomenon. Netflix would end up taking the reigns from Lifetime and premiered season 2 at the tail end of 2019, which also performed well on the streaming service. Naturally, Netflix renewed the series for season 3, which is set to start filming this fall.
In a new announcement made by Netflix Queue on Twitter, Travis VanWinkle and Shalita Grant will be joining the cast for You season 3. VanWinkle will be playing Cary, a wealthy man who invites Joe into his inner circle. At the same time, Grant takes on the role of Sherry, a "mom-fluencer," who seems down to earth but is actually quite the opposite and only pretends to invite Love into her social circle. After the shocking conclusion of season 2, fans have been anxiously waiting to see what the series has in store for season 3. After season 2, fans have plenty of lingering questions that they wish to have answered in the upcoming season. You season 2, akin to season 1, received a warm reception from critics and fans alike, currently resting at a fresh 88 percent critical and 82 percent audience rating respectively on Rotten Tomatoes, with many believing season 2 was even better than the first.
You, which is based on the book series from Caroline Kepnes, follows Joe (Penn Badgley), a charming and obsessive young man who goes to extreme lengths to insert himself into the lives of the women he is fascinated by. In addition to VanWinkle and Grant, season 3 will, of course, see the return of Badgley and Pedretti as Joe and Love, who are settling down into suburbia. You season 3 is expected to be released in 2021.
