Fear the Walking Dead season 6 releases the first five minutes from its midseason finale, teasing the circumstances of Dakota's disappearance.
Fear the Walking Dead season 6 has released the opening clip from its midseason finale. A spinoff series to The Walking Dead, AMC's flagship TV show, Fear the Walking Dead is a post-apocalyptic zombie horror drama created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. The show premiered in August 2015, and through its first three seasons, focused on a blended family as they took to learning new survival skills at the onset of the zombie apocalypse. Beginning in season 4, Fear the Walking Dead shifted its focus towards Lennie James' Morgan Jones from the original series, with Jones encountering the core survivors along with some new ones in Texas.
When Fear the Walking Dead last left off in season 6, episode 6, "Bury Her Next to Jasper's Leg", John offers June to escape with him to his cabin, but a suspicious blast in Tank Town interrupts their plans. As Virginia, the Pioneers, and June attempt to uncover the truth , they are attacked by walkers. June saves Virginia's life by amputating her hand after she is bitten, and in return, Virginia agrees to give June her own hospital. As she returns to the wretched Tank Town, June decides to stay there to help bring the town back on its feet. Now, Fear the Walking Dead has revealed what happens next with the opening minutes of the season 6 midseason finale.
AMC has shared the opening five minutes from the upcoming Fear the Walking Dead season 6 episode, "Damage from the Inside", through The Walking Dead's official YouTube channel. The starting minutes find Victor Strand escorting Dakota to her elder sister, Virginia after the collapse of Tank Town. A convoy of riders, meanwhile, guard Victor and Dakota on their journey, killing every walker that crosses their path. As the caravan progresses, however, they run into a roadblock and things very quickly get out of hand. Watch the opening minutes from Fear the Walking Dead's season 6 midseason finale, below.
As it has been revealed in earlier clips from the episode, Fear the Walking Dead's season 6 midseason finale will see Victor dispatch Alicia Clark and Charlie on a mission to look for Dakota. But as they go down searching for Dakota in the woods, Alicia and Charlie will come across more walkers, one of which appears to have been mysteriously skinned by someone. At this point, it's still unclear how the flayed zombie connects to Dakota's disappearance and the destruction of Tank Town.
The opening five minutes of Fear the Walking Dead's season 6 midseason finale serve as an interesting buildup for what is to come ahead. Since Dakota has disappeared and not actually been killed yet, it wouldn't be surprising to learn she's involved with the people who caused the destruction of Tank Town. After all, she is as much a fan of her sister as the mysterious wall-sprayers. Dakota also grills Victor about his plans, which indicates she has an ulterior motive up her sleeve. Perhaps, then, by the end of season 6, the Pioneers will no long be the main villains and a new community will assume the antagonistic mantle.
