Laycon VS Efe, Who Is Best BB Naija Rapper?

So far, Big Brother Naija also known as BB Naija has produced two rappers who ended up claiming the ultimate price of the reality TV show. Laycon and Efe are the only rappers who have won the BB Naija show since its inception in 2006.

The Big Brother Naija show is a reality TV series that allows the contestants to live in an isolated environment for a specified period while fans are given an opportunity to choose their favourites.

Eleven years after the debut season was held, BB Naija returned to DSTV on 22nd January 2017. The second season of the show lasted for three months before Michael Efe Ejeba was crowned the winner of the live show. Efe received forty-five million naira cash prize and a brand new car amongst others. He came out of the show as a celebrity and wasted no time in releasing new materials. First, on leaving the BBNaija house, Efe immediately relocated from Jos to Lagos to focus on his music career. He dished out few songs 'Based on Logistics' and 'I love you' before teaming up with Olamide in 'Warri' a song that went on to give him 1.2 million views on YouTube.

Efe later released his first project titled 'Am Sorry Am Winning' in 2018. The project featured DJ Neptune, Oritse Femi, and Olamide. On May 22, 2020, Efe dished out a solo performed an extended play titled 'NONSTOP'. The EP introduced a different version of Efe who did more of Afrobeat than HipHop. Later on, in 2020, Efe released a joint EP with M.O titled 'No Boundaries'. Though Efe has lost before now, his last two project shows he has definitely gotten better and grown above the criticisms he received in 2018.

After spending 71 days in the Big Brother Naija house, Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe also known as Laycon came out as the winner of the BB Naija fifth season. Laycon signed a deal with Fierce Nation before entering the Big Brother Naija house. Laycon has earlier released his Young Black and Gifted EP in 2016 before dropping his popular Who is Laycon EP in 2020.

Laycon has so far bagged over 1.4 million streams on Fierce video on Youtube. The song featured Chinko Ekun and Reminisce.
