Star Wars Celebration Anaheim Moves Up to May in 2022

The Star Wars Celebration Anaheim dates have officially been moved up to May 26-29 in 2022, according to the Star Wars site. The official Lucasfilm Star Wars fan event was initially scheduled for August 18-21 next year.

The blog adds that current ticket holders that wish to keep their existing tickets will have their order automatically transferred to the new event dates and will receive a new confirmation email in the coming months. If fans want to keep their tickets, no further action is required on their part.

Furthermore, if a ticket holder wishes to request a refund for their 2022 ticket order, they can do so by visiting StarWarsCelebration.com. Ticket refund requests must be submitted before June 11, 2021. All ticket holders will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to submit a refund request if they choose to do so.

Star Wars Celebration is an exciting convention filled with entertainment, celebrity appearances, stage shows, panels, interactive events, exclusive merchandise, screenings, and once-in-a-lifetime glimpses into the future of the epic saga. The event is produced by Lucasfilm in collaboration with ReedPOP.

Held at Anaheim’s Convention Center, the event has been a major gathering for fans since it began in Denver in 1999 to celebrate the then-upcoming release of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace. Subsequent events were held to celebrate the releases of upcoming films or anniversaries of past projects, as well as first-time celebrations outside of the United States with 2007’s Celebration Europe in London and Celebration Japan in 2008.
