Zack Snyder Shows First Photo of Justice League’s Green Lantern
Fans got a taste of what Zack Snyder had in store for the DCEU when the director’s cut of Justice League released earlier this year. Recently, the director shared a photo of what his version of the iconic Green Lantern would have looked like had he made it into the film.
During a recent screening of his upcoming film Army of the Dead, Snyder gave fans a look at the superhero, who would’ve been based on the John Stewart comic book character. Initially, Snyder wanted to use Green Lantern in the Justice League epilogue instead of Martian Manhunter but plans changed after Snyder was forced to use another character.
As seen in the photo, the crew was able to film the scene with Wayne T. Carr, who was the actor that Snyder cast as Stewart. Unfortunately, the photo itself isn’t extremely high quality, as Snyder showed a photo of the character from his cellphone, but fans were happy to at least see the character for a moment.
“This is kind of crazy because we shot it in what I’m going to call ‘Driveway Studios.’ He called me after he showed it to everyone,” Carr said of the filming in a recent interview. “I think it was the second time because they had watched it in parts. He was like, ‘They’re not letting me do this thing.’”
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is available now on HBO Max.
