Netflix’s The Ice Road Trailer Starring Liam Neeson & Laurence Fishburne
Netflix has released the official trailer for their upcoming action-thriller film titled The Ice Road, starring Liam Neeson (Taken) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix films). The video highlights a high-stakes rescue mission involving 26 miners who got trapped and are running out of air. Now, it’s up to Neeson and Fishburne’s characters to lead a special team who will cross a dangerous ice road in order to save the miners before it’s too late. The film is scheduled to make its debut on June 25, 2021.
In The Ice Road movie, after a remote diamond mine collapses in far northern Canada, a “big rig” ice road driver must lead an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the trapped miners. Contending with thawing waters and a massive storm, they discover the real threat is one they never saw coming.
The film is written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh. It will star Oscar nominee Liam Neeson and Laurence Fishburne, along with Benjamin Walker, Amber Midthunder, and Marcus Thomas. It also features Ray McKinnon, Holt McCallany, Matt McCoy, and Martin Sensmeier.
CODE Entertainment produced and financed The Ice Road alongside ShivHans Pictures. Envision Media Arts also serves as producer. Neeson currently has two more action films currently lined up, including an English-language remake of the 2003 Belgian film The Memory of a Killer, and Mark Williams’ Blacklight, which will both reunite Neeson and Pearce.
