Hulu’s Love, Victor Season 2 Trailer: Coming Out is Just the Beginning

Hulu has released the official Love, Victor Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger’s Love, Simon spin-off series, starring Michael Cimino. https://i0.wp.com/storage.waploaded.com/images/4598ea93d87279de26687d2a569c19a8.jpgThe series is scheduled to make its return on Friday, June 11, just in time for this year’s Pride month.

The video, which you can check out below, teases the aftermath of the first season finale’s cliffhanger where Victor finally comes out to his parents. It highlights Victor gaining more confidence in himself as he navigates his new relationship with Benji while trying to deal with his Mom’s not-so-welcoming reaction to him being gay.

Love, Victor centers around a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and exploring his sexual orientation. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school.

Season 2 finds a newly out of the closet Victor entering his junior year at Creekwood High. But being out brings with it new challenges, as Victor faces a family struggling with his revelation, a heartbroken ex-girlfriend in Mia, and the difficulties of being an openly gay star athlete — all while navigating the excitement of his relationship with Benji.

The series stars Michael Cimino as Victor Salazar, Rachel Hilson as Mia Brooks, Anthony Turpel as Felix Westen, Bebe Wood as Lake Meriwether, Mason Gooding as Andrew, George Sear as Benji Campbell, Isabella Ferreira as Pilar Salazar, Mateo Fernandez as Adrian Salazar, James Martinez as Armando Salazar, and Ana Ortiz as Isabel Salazar.

Love, Victor is created and executive produced by the original film’s writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, with 20th Television serving as the studio. Executive producers are Brian Tanen, Jason Ensler, Isaac Klausner, Marty Bowen, Adam Fishbach, Wyck Godfrey, Pouya Shahbazian and Adam Londy.
