Pictures, New Line Cinema, Warner Bros. Television, and HBO Max. Pattinson is set to produce content for different types of releasing platforms including theatrical, SVOD, and television.

“Warner Bros Pictures and HBO have always been synonymous with groundbreaking filmmaking,” Pattinson said in a statement (via Deadline). “I’m thrilled to be working with them to discover the most exciting new voices in film and television and help bring their visions to life. I’ve loved working with the studio over the years and have so much respect for their dedication, their willingness to take chances, and their desire to push the envelope creatively.”

Pattinson first gained recognition for his role as Cedric Diggory in 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He skyrocketed into fame in 2008, with his breakout role as Edward Cullen in Summit Entertainment’s supernatural romantic fantasy film franchise The Twilight Saga, which consisted of five films with a combined worldwide gross of over $3 billion. After five years of working on the blockbuster franchise, Pattinson shifted to independent films and starred in films such as Maps to the Stars, Life, The Lost City of Z, Good Time, Damsel, High Life, The Lighthouse, and The Devil All the Time.

“We have been incredibly impressed with Rob’s eye for identifying dynamic new filmmakers. Additionally, he is continually nurturing exciting story ideas into compelling screenplays. We are so excited that Warner Bros and New Line will be his home and that we get to benefit from his creative, commercial passions,” said Courtenay Valenti, President, Production, and Development for Warner Bros Pictures, and Richard Brener, President & Chief Creative Officer of New Line Cinema.

Pattinson will next be seen as the studio’s newest version of Bruce Wayne in Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly-anticipated The Batman film, which wrapped up its production last March. It is scheduled to make its debut on March 4, 2022. The DC character was previously played by Ben Affleck and Christian Bale, with Affleck expected to reprise the role in the upcoming The Flash movie.
