Arsenal open new contract talks with Kieran Tierney
Arsenal have opened new contract talks with Kieran Tierney.
Football.London reports the 24-year-old's hard work is about to be rewarded as the club has decided to offer him a new deal.
Arsenal technical director Edu is set to present a proposed contract offer for the board to sign off.
Tierney's current deal expires on June 2024 but the Gunners want to tie him down on a long-term basis.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has said of the Scot: “I think he can be Arsenal captain as he has the respect and admiration of every member of the staff and every player.
“It is just the way he is. He does it in a natural way. He is a really shy boy as well but he represents all of us in the club; all of the values that we want to instill and are in the DNA in this club."
