Barry Meets His Son Impulse in The Flash Season 7 Finale Promo

The CW has released the first promo teaser for the first part of The Flash‘s upcoming seventh season finale titled “The Heart of The Matter Pt. 1”, which is scheduled to air on Tuesday, July 13. The video features the arrival of Jordan Fisher’s Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse as he meets his father Barry and helps him take on the Godspeed clones. It also teases the appearance of John Wesley Shipp’s Jay Garrick and the return of Jessica Parker Kennedy’s Nora West-Allen/XS.

Directed by Eric Dean Seaton from a screenplay by Eric Wallace and Lauren Barnett, the official synopsis of episode 7.17 reads:

“Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) greet their future children, XS (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy) and Bart (guest star Jordan Fisher), only for a shocking secret to threaten their new familial harmony. Meanwhile, the Godspeed war intensifies and threatens to destroy Central City.”

Season 7 begins with Barry searching for Iris, who gets trapped in the Mirrorverse, while also trying to stop Eva McCulloch. It has also been confirmed that long-time cast members Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes will no longer reprise their respective roles as Harrison Wells and Cisco in the upcoming eighth season of the series. Cavanagh and Valdes have been series regulars since the show started in 2014.

The Flash series currently stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton with Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, The Flash is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Todd Helbing.
