Jon Spaihts was initially attached to run the series but stepped down in November 2019 in order to focus on writing the script for a second Dune reboot film.

Dune: The Sisterhood will be set in the universe of Frank Herbert’s epic Dune novel series, and is told through the eyes of a mysterious order of women known as the Bene Gesserit. Armed with extraordinary abilities, this group of women weaves through the feudal politics of Dune, pursuing their own plans that ultimately lead them to the enigmatic planet Arrakis, and the events of the upcoming film.

Ademu-John has most recently worked as an executive producer and writer on Netflix’s horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor. Before that, her credits include stints at Fox’s Empire, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries at The CW, and NBC’s Medium and Crossing Jordan.
