Thor: Love and Thunder plot
Following Avengers: Endgame, Thor named Valkyrie as the King of New Asgard. Since then, there have been hits that Thor will join the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy so we could see the God of Thunder in some galactic adventures.
Inspiration from Thor: Love and Thunder came from the comic The Mighty Thor which introduces a female Thor for the first time in the character's history.
