Recent rumours have suggested that the MCU's first major Mutant could appear in the upcoming movie, while the aforementioned leaks have suggested that an X-Men character will be the first to step through the multiverse and join the Avengers.
When will 'Doctor Strange 2' come out?
'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' is set to be released on March 25, 2022. This sequel had been expected to come out in May of 2021, but it has been pushed back multiple times because of complications from the coronavirus pandemic.
What are the 'Doctor Strange 2' leaks?
An anonymous twitter account by the name of @ViewerAnon has provided leaked information on several films and video games in the past, with this account now posting information with regards to the upcoming 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' film.
There was a suggestion in the tweets that the new film could introduce an entire new superhero team, with a group of powerful characters banding together to work in secret, featuring some star names from the Marvel Universe.
It is said that this team will include Professor X, Captain Carter, Balder the Brave, Monica Rambeau and Mordo.
The main name there is Professor X, simply because it opens the Marvel Universe up for further X-Men cameos in the future, perhaps even a spin-off film of their own within the MCU.
A second leak regarding the film, from Marvel insider Daniel Richtman, suggested that the new Doctor Strange film will include a fight scene between Wanda Maximoff and a character from the 20th Century Fox cinematic universe.
This has set fans' imaginations running wild with the possibility that Wanda will battle Professor X, which would be a cataclysmic encounter. It also leads us to believe that Scarlet Witch may be the villain of the upcoming film.
