The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes Is Now Available in Fortnite

The Walking Dead hasn’t featured Rick Grimes in some time, but the iconic character is still closely associated with the series. Now, he’ll make his way into the huge world of Fortnite.Epic Games announced on Monday that the famous sheriff would be arriving in the game as part of this year’s Fortnitemares event, which sees various iconic horror characters introduced into the game. Grimes will join the likes of The Walking Dead characters Daryl Dixon and Michonne Hawthorne, who have been in the game for some time but will now return to the Fortnite Item Shop for those who missed out.

Grimes comes with a unique pickaxe, back bling, and glider, all of which pay homage to his character in The Walking Dead. Players who pick up the character skin will also get two different versions of his outfit, including a winter outfit variant.

The first week of the Fortnitemares event saw several Universal horror icons make their way into the game, including Frankenstein’s Monster and the Mummy. With three weeks left of the event, it’ll be interesting to see which characters invade the highly popular game next.
