The CW has released the official Riverdale Season 6 trailer for its upcoming five-episode special event dubbed as Rivervale, teasing a supernatural horror arc for Archie and the gang. The series is scheduled to make its return on November 16, after over a month since it concluded its 19-episode fifth season.
The video, which you can check out below, provides us with our first look at the long-awaited appearance of Kiernan Shipka’s Sabrina Spellman, who is expected to help up-and-coming witch Cheryl with a dangerous spell.
This marks the first time that Shipka will be reprising the powerful teen witch, nearly a year since Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina had ended its run. Before the supernatural series was cancelled with Part 4, the next part was initially set to include a Riverdale crossover involving a Witch War between the fictional towns.
Riverdale currently stars KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Vanessa Morgan as Toni Topaz, Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, Charles Melton as Reggie Mantle, and Drew Ray Tanner as Fangs Fogarty.
Based on the characters from Archie Comics, Riverdale hails from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with Berlanti Productions, with executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater.
