Conte defends Spurs salary; discusses season targets
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has defended his huge salary.
Speaking with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte was quizzed about reports he is earning €17.5m-a-year.
“Is my salary a blow to your pocket? I think this is a blow, a big blow for the one who invites me. I do my job at a top level, so I have a big salary," said Conte.
The Italian also spoke about the goals of the team for the season.
“Fighting for the top 4 is a challenge. The Premier League is a very tough tournament. We will try to give our maximum in every game and perform well in the Conference League," added Conte.
