Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society, Most Dangerous Game, Guns Akimbo) will star opposite Rosario Dawson in Disney+’s The Mandalorian spin-off series Star Wars: Ahsoka as Sabine Wren, according to Deadline. The character comes from the animated series Star Wars Rebels.
Dawson stars as Ahsoka Tano in the limited series after the character made their live-action debut on the streamer’s The Mandalorian. Star Wars: Ahsoka is expected to continue the character’s story.
The limited series is written by Dave Filoni who executive produces along with Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy. No additional details about the project have been released.
Sabine Wren was voiced by Tiya Sircaris in Star Wars Rebels and is described as “a young Mandalorian warrior and graffiti artist, Imperial Academy dropout, and a former bounty hunter with expert knowledge of weapons and explosives.”
Star Wars: Ahsoka is expected to begin production in March 2022 according to the outlet. The series is also expected to feature an appearance by Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, reuniting the two characters likely in flashbacks.
