The Vikings: Valhalla photos, which you can check out below, provide a new look at the main cast including Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, and Leo Suter as they portray some of the most famous Vikings in history.

Vikings: Valhalla, set over a hundred years after the end of the original series, is a new adventure that blends historical authenticity and drama with gritty, immersive action. It hails from showrunner and executive produced by Jeb Stuart.

“Set over a thousand years ago in the early 11th century, the series chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived – the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson, his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter, and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson,” reads the synopsis. “As tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and as the Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs, these three Vikings begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory.”

The spin-off stars Sam Corlett as Leif Eriksson, Frida Gustavsson as Freydis Eriksdotter, Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson, Caroline Henderson as Jark Haakon, Bradley Freegard as King Canute, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Olaf Haraldsson, Pollyanna McIntosh as Ælfgifu of Northampton, Asbjørn Krogh as Jarl Kare, David Oakes as Earl Godwin, Pääru Oja as Arne Gormsson, Louis Davison as Prince Edmund, and more.

Vikings: Valhalla is executive produced by Morgan O’Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh, and Alan Gasmer, Paul Buccieri.

Created by Michael Hirst for the History channel, the original series ran on-air for six seasons from 2013 to 2021. It starred Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen, Alexander Ludwig, and more.
