After a number of fan speculations, the network has finally confirmed the return of original cast member Kim Dickens (Deadwood) as a series regular. She is expected to reprise her fan-favorite character of Madison Clark in the upcoming second half of Season 7 and in Season 8.

Fear the Walking Dead is scheduled to make its return next year on April 17, with the remaining episodes of the seventh season. The announcement also came with the released of the Season 7B teaser which you can check out below, giving us a preview of the war between Strand and Alicia.

“In the second half of Season 7, months have passed after the nuclear blast and the only one thriving is Victor Strand,” reads the synopsos. “Having built a fiefdom, he callously selects who will have a chance at life. The other members of the group have suffered immensely, but out of that, has come a fierce determination to live, even if it means taking Strand’s Tower by force and continuing the search for Padre, a mythical place no one is sure really exists. Alicia now the reluctant leader to Teddy’s former followers, is plagued by a mysterious illness and the repercussions of her past actions. Morgan trying to maintain hope that he will be reunited with his family, knows Alicia is key to their survival. With Alicia declaring war, Strand’s paranoia and personal vendettas grow, and with that, new threats emerge from all sides.”

The series stars Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay García, Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, Ruben Blades, and Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson, and Austin Amelio as Dwight.

Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Ann Hurd, and Greg Nicotero, and produced by AMC Studios.
