Kevin Feige Confirms Next Spider-Man Movie Is in Early Development

Now, in a recent interview with The New York Times, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has finally opened up about the future of Spider-Man, confirming that he along with Amy Pascal, Disney and Sony are still very committed into continuing their creative partnership on future projects following No Way Home.

Feige went on to reveal that they’re indeed actively working together to develop the next Spider-Man movie, reassuring fans that the mega studios’ brief separation in 2019 won’t happened again.

“Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about — yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don’t want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after Far From Home,” Feige said. “That will not be occurring this time.”

His confirmation comes after producer Amy Pascal previously teased that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are working on the next Spider-Man trilogy, with Tom Holland which would potentially see the friendly neighborhood hero in his college years. However, it seems like the negotiations for the potential projects haven’t been finalized yet as Holland is understandably still playing coy about his MCU future.

Spider-Man: No Way Home sees the return of Tom Holland as the beloved titular wall-crawler, who will now be joined by Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. The threequel also features the return of Spider-Man vets J.K. Simmons (Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy) as J. Jonah Jameson, Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) as Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe (Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy) as the Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) as Electro, Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man 3) as Sandman, and Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man) as Lizard.

Joining them are Zendaya (Euphoria, Dune) as MJ, Jacob Batalon (50 States of Fright) as Ned, Marisa Tomei (The King of Staten Island) as Aunt May, Jon Favreau as Happy, Tony Revolori (The French Dispatch) as Flash, and Hannibal Buress (Tag) as Coach Wilson.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
