South Park: Comedy Central Sets Premiere Date for Season 25
Comedy Central has announced that South Park Season 25 will premiere on February 2 with the new season consisting of six episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The last full season of the long-running hit animated series aired in late 2019, with the show’s production being impacted by the ongoing pandemic.
It was announced last August that South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker had signed a new deal with ViacomCBS for $900 million, running through 2027, which included a multi-season renewal of the animated comedy series at Comedy Central, as well as 14 original South Park movies that will debut on Paramount+.
Two of the made-for-TV films debuted last year. The first hourlong movie, South Park: Post Covid, debuted exclusively on Paramount+ on November 25, while a second made-for-TV film, South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid, dropped in December.
