Batgirl Set Photos Reveal New Look at Leslie Grace in Hero’s Iconic Suit

Last Saturday, we finally got our first official look at Leslie Grace’s full Batgirl costume through an Instagram post shared by the 27-year-old actress.

Now, new behind-the-scenes photos from the Glasgow set of the upcoming HBO Max film have arrived online, providing us a better look at the titular hero’s comic-accurate suit which was paired with night vision goggles.

New Batgirl set photos also featured Jacob Scipio and Ivory Aquino as Alysia Yeoh along with Barbara Gordon’s cool-looking motorcycle.

The Batgirl film will be led by In the Heights star Leslie Grace as she portrays the role of Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon. The hero was first seen in the 1967 Batman series with the late Yvonne Craig playing Barbara. Batgirl’s first comic book appearance was in Detective Comics #357 by writer Gardner Fox and artist Carmine Infantino.

The live-action film will also feature the return of Oscar winner J.K. Simmons (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) and Michael Keaton (The Flash), who are set to reprise their respective roles of Commissioner Gordon, and Bruce Wayne/ Batman. Joining them are Jacob Scipio, Ethan Kai, Corey Johnson, Rebecca Front and Brendan Fraser in his second role with the DC Universe as the villain Firefly.

Batgirl is being directed by Bad Boys for Life filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a screenplay written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, The Flash). The film is a production by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films, with Kristin Burr (Cruella) producing.

Batgirl/Barbara Gordon’s last appearance in a live-action big-screen feature was in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, released in 1997 and starring Alicia Silverstone in the role alongside George Clooney’s Batman and Chris O’Donnell’s Robin.
