Live-Action The Aristocats Remake in the Works at Disney
Disney’s latest live-action adaptation of one of its beloved animated films will feature plenty of felines.
It’s been revealed that The Aristocats is up next in Disney’s series of live-action remakes. Per Deadline, the film will be written by Will Gluck and Keith Bunun. Gluck, who will also produce the film, recently directed Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, while Bunin wrote Pixar’s Onward. No director is currently attached.
As for its art style, it’s said that the live-action The Aristocats will feature a look similar to the Disney+ Lady in the Tramp film released in 2019. Other details aren’t known at this time as it is in early development.
The original The Aristocats released in 1970 and follows a family of cats in Paris that are set to inherit a fortune. However, after their butler kidnaps them, they have to befriend a tomcat in order to make it back.
