The Last Bus Trailer: It’s Kids vs. Robots in Netflix’s Sci-Fi Action Series
Netflix has dropped the official trailer for its newest coming-of-age sci-fi action series titled The Last Bus, centering around an unlikely group of kids as they faced a robot apocalypse. The 10-episode series will be available for streaming on April 1.
The Last Bus is written and created by Paul Neafcy. It will be led by a young ensemble cast of new talent, who will be joined by The Umbrella Academy star Robert Sheehan as the villain Dalton Monkhouse, and Tom Besden (Afterlife).
“After embarking on a life-changing field trip, a group of whip-smart and mismatched students become the unlikely heroes when a robot apocalypse zaps away the rest of humanity,” reads the synopsis.
Sheehan will once again reprise his fan-favorite role as Klaus Hargreeves in Netflix’s highly-anticipated third season of The Umbrella Academy. His other acting credits include films such as The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, The Road Within, Geostorm, and Mortal Engines as well as TV appearances in The Borrowers, Fortitude, Accused, and Genius: Picasso.
The series is produced by Wildseed Studios, the company behind the thriller PrankMe. It is directed by Drew Casson, Lawrence Gough, Steve Hughes, and Nour Wazzi.
