Better Call Saul Final Season Adds Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul as Guest Stars

Ahead of its return next Monday, April 18, AMC has confirmed the guest star appearances of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in the upcoming Better Call Saul final season. Cranston and Paul will be reprising their respective Breaking Bad roles as Walter and Jesse. This comes nearly nine years since the acclaimed crime drama ended its five-season run.

“I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah,” Co-creator Peter Gould teased during the show’s PaleyFest LA panel (via Variety). “How or the circumstances or anything, you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season.”

The Breaking Bad spinoff’s final installment will be divided into two parts, with the first seven episodes set to premiere starting on April 18. After this, it will then return on July 11 for its final run of six episodes.

“The final season concludes the complicated journey and transformation of its compromised hero, Jimmy McGill, into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman,” reads the synopsis. “From the cartel to the courthouse, from Albuquerque to Omaha, season six tracks Jimmy, Saul, and Gene as well as Jimmy’s complex relationship with Kim, who is in the midst of her own existential crisis. Meanwhile, Mike, Gus, Nacho and Lalo are locked into a game of cat and mouse with mortal stakes.”

Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman, Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Tony Dalton as Lalo, Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Michael Mando as Nacho Vargo, and Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring.

The critically acclaimed drama is created by Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan, who are serving as executive producers along with Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Thomas Schnauz, and Gennifer Hutchison.
