WWE Releases Dakota Kai and Other NXT Wrestlers
World Wrestling Entertainment is once again thinning its roster as a number of WWE releases were announced today, primarily from its developmental NXT brand.

The most notable name of this stretch of WWE releases confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is Dakota Kai, who was a mainstay of NXT’s women’s division. Kai was one half of the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions with Raquel Gonzalez after winning the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Kai had joined the company in 2016. The 33-year-old is a New Zealand native and wrestled as Evie on the independent scene.
The second released wrestler is manager Malcolm Bivens, who was leading up the Diamond Mine faction previously. As noted by Sapp, Bivens turned down a new deal in February to stay with the company.
