Amazon’s John Krasinski-Led Series Jack Ryan Ending with Season 4

According to Deadline, Amazon Studios’ John Krasinski-led action-drama Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan will officially be concluding its run with the upcoming fourth season, which has already started production. This revelation comes ahead of Jack Ryan Season 3’s debut, which currently still hasn’t been given a release date yet by Prime Video.

In addition, the outlet has also confirmed new details about Ant-Man star Michael Peña’s role in the fourth season. Peña will reportedly be playing Domingo “Ding” Chavez, a major character from the book series, who is expected to be introduced in Season 3 final episode. The studio is also planning a potential Jack Ryan spin-off centered around Peña’s Ding Chavez. The outlet notes that the project is currently in the early stages of development.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a reinvention with a modern sensibility of the famed and lauded Tom Clancy hero, played by John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, 13 Hours). Season 3 will also star Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November, Betty Gabriel as Elizabeth Wright, James Cosmo as Luca, Peter Guinness as Petr, Nina Hoss as Alena, and Alexej Manvelov as Alexei.

“The next season finds Jack Ryan on the run and in a race against time,” reads the synopsis. “Jack is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive and prevent a massive global conflict.”

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a production between Paramount Television and Skydance Television. It is executive produced by Krasinski, Andrew Form, Allyson Seeger, Vaun Wilmott, Brad Fuller, and Michael Bay alongside Clancy, Skydance’s David Ellison and Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, Mace Neufeld, and Carlton Cuse.
