Keep Breathing Photos: Melissa Barrera Leads Netflix Survival Drama

Netflix has dropped the first-look photos for its forthcoming survival drama miniseries titled Keep Breathing, starring Scream actress Melissa Barrera. It will be available for streaming on Thursday, July 28.

The Keep Breathing photos, which you can check out below, feature Barrera’s character as she tries to survive the wilderness all alone following a plane crash.

The limited series is written and created by Martin Gero and Brendan Gall, who are also set as showrunners. Joining Barrera are Jeff Wilbusch, Austin Stowell, Juan Pablo Espinosa, and Florencia Lozano.

“After her private plane crashes in the remote Canadian frontier, lone survivor and New York lawyer, Liv, must battle both an unforgiving wilderness and past personal traumas to stay alive,” reads the synopsis.

Keep Breathing is directed by Maggie Kiley and Rebecca Rodriguez. It is produced by Warner Bros. Television, with Kiley, Gero, and Gall serving as executive producers.

Barrera first gained recognition for her leading role as Lyn Hernandez in the Starz series Vida. She landed her first major Hollywood feature with Jon M. Chu’s musical drama In the Heights. The Mexican actress most recently starred in the fifth installment of Scream, and will be reprising her role as Sam Carpenter in the follow-up sequel.
