Back in Action: Netflix Film Brings Cameron Diaz Out of Retirement
It has been announced that Cameron Diaz will be coming out of retirement to star in Netflix’s Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx.
The film is set to be directed by Seth Gordon (Identity Thief) from a script he has written with Brendan O’Brien (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates). There are currently no details on the plot of the film.
Foxx even took to Twitter to post a call he had with Diaz about the film, and Diaz’s return to film, with NFL legend Tom Brady giving her tips about “un-retiring.” You can listen to the call in the tweet below:
Diaz and Foxx have worked together before, most recently in 2014’s Annie remake, and the sports drama Any Given Sunday prior to that back in 1999.
Back in Action will be produced by Beau Bauman for Good One Productions and Seth Gordon for Exhibit A. Executive producers will be Foxx with Datari Turner, O’Brien, and Mark McNair.
