The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners release date is just a few hours away.

Cyberpunk 2077 is making its first foray into anime soon. A new series produced by Netflix will expand the lore of the much-acclaimed video game.

When to Watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix

Netflix set the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners release date at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Tuesday, September 13. As always, the streaming service will release all the installments at once. The upcoming 10-episode anime set in the world of 2020’s Cyberpunk 2077 features highly appreciated actor Giancarlo Esposito lending his voice to the ruthless Faraday. Star Wars: Visions alums Yoshiki Usa and Masahiko Ôtsuka co-wrote the series.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a collaboration between CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger. Outside of the intro, the series’ music will be composed by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill video games). Netflix has also collaborated with CD Projekt Red on the live-action adaptation of The Witcher.

“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells the story of David Martinez, a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, David decides to take control of his own destiny by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk,” reads the synopsis.

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners English cast also sees Matthew Mercer as Falco, Zach Aguilar as David, and Gloria Garayua as Gloria. Additionally, Ian James Corlett as Pilar, Marie Westbrook as Dorio, Alex Cazares as Rebecca, Emi Lo as Lucy, Stephanie Wong as Kiwi, William Christopher Stephens as Maine, and Borge Etienne as Ripperdoc.
