Mr. Harrigan’s Phone Trailer Previews Netflix’s Stephen King Adaptation

Netflix has released the official trailer for Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, Blumhouse’s upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s novella of the same name. The horror film is scheduled to make its debut on October 5.

The Mr. Harrigan’s Phone trailer features Jaeden Martell as he portrays Craig, a bullied teenager who forms a friendship with the wealthy Mr. Harrigan. Following his death, Craig tries to call Mr. Harrigan’s number as a way to cope with the worsening bullying he’s experiencing by telling his late elderly friend about the people who hurt him.

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone is directed and written by John Lee Hancock. The film is led by Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell, who is no stranger to Stephen King adaptations as he previously starred in the blockbuster It franchise. Joining them are Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Joe Tippett, Cyrus Arnold, Thomas Francis Murphy, Colin O’Brien, Daniel Reece, Peggy J. Scott, and more.

“When Craig, a young boy living in a small town befriends Mr. Harrigan, an older, reclusive billionaire, the two begin to form an unlikely bond over their love of books and reading,” reads the synopsis. “But when Mr. Harrigan sadly passes away, Craig discovers that not everything is dead and gone and strangely finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone in this supernatural coming-of-age story that shows that certain connections are never lost.”

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone is produced by Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum, and Carla Hacken, with Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Scott Greenberg executive producing.
