Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn is set to join the cast of the upcoming Yellowstone prequel series 1923, according to a recent report from Deadline.
Flynn will join a star-studded cast that currently features Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, and Julia Schlaepfer. In the next installment of the Yellowstone franchise, Flynn will play Banner Creighton, a hard-headed Scottish man who is the leader of a group of local sheepmen.
“1923 focuses on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression, which preceded the nation by almost a decade,” reads the synopsis.
The upcoming Yellowstone prequel is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Executive producers are Taylor Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and Ben Richardson.
The newest spin-off is expected to debut on Paramount+ this December.
