10 Lives: Zayn Malik, Sophie Okonedo & More Join Animated Comedy

According to Deadline, chart-topping singer Zayn Malik, Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo, and Bridgerton breakout Simone Ashley have been tapped to lend their voices to the upcoming animated family comedy film titled 10 Lives. Mo Gilligan and Dylan Llewellyn have also been cast in the cat-centered project from GFM Animation.

10 Lives will be directed by Chris Jenkins. Gilligan is set to voice the lead character Beckett, while Malik, in his first acting feature, will be voicing twin brothers Kirk and Cameron. Okonedo, Ashley, and Llewellyn will be serving as the respective voices of the ethereal Grace, student Rose, and awkward Larry.

“The film tells the story of a pampered and selfish cat who takes for granted the lives he has been dealt,” reads the synopsis. “After carelessly losing his ninth life, he begs to be given a second chance, an opportunity to show he can learn from his mistakes. Eventually, his wish is granted but with hilarious stipulations.”

10 Lives is being produced by Guy Collins and Sean Feeney. It is being animated by L’Atelier Animation in Montreal.
