Troll Trailer: Netflix Brings a Norwegian Legend to Life

Netflix has released the official trailer for Troll, the upcoming action thriller which is inspired by a Scandinavian legend. The film will be available for streaming on December 1.

The trailer opens with a married couple whose house gets destroyed by an unknown giant creature from the mountains. Unsure of what they’re dealing with, the government appoints a paleontologist to head the investigation.

Troll is directed by Tomb Raider filmmaker Roar Uthaug, based on his original idea. This fantasy-action film stars Ine Marie Wilmann, Mads Sjøgård Pettersen, Mads Sjøgård Pettersen, Gard B. Eidsvold, Pål Richard Lunderby, and more.

The film will center on the titular gigantic creature awakening from within the Norwegian mountains, where it has been trapped for 1,000 years and goes on a rampage through the countryside towards the country’s capital of Oslo.

The film will be produced by Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud of Norwegian production banner Motion Blur.
