Adamawa APC sacks ward excos over SGF’s suspension

The State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State has ordered the sacking and indefinite suspension of the ward executives for Gwadabawa ward over their suspension order on the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha.

The APC secretary in the state, Dr Raymond Chidama, who addressed journalists at the party secretariat, said the sanction imposed on the errant party officials was the recommendation of the Yola North Executive Committee tasked by SWC to investigate and recommend appropriate sanctions over the conduct of the ward exco.

The ward exco had suspended Mustapha for losing his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party during the presidential and governorship polls.

But the SWC under the leadership of Chief Samaila Tadawus, reversed the suspension and declared Mustapha’s suspension as unconstitutional, null and void and of no effect.

According to him, the party equally frowned at the actions of some party executives who made similar moves recently when they announced the suspension of the party’s National Vice Chairman North East, Mustapha Salihu, and the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Aishatu Binani.

He stated, “State Working Committee therefore viewed the activities of these miscreants as an embarrassment to the National Chairman, Mr President and the party. The State Working Committee therefore approved the removal from office of all exco members of Gwadabawa ward with immediate effect; the indefinite suspension of all exco members of Gwadabawa ward from the party and constitution of a seven-man caretaker committee as recommended by the Yola North local government executive committee with immediate effect.”
