The Penguin Teaser Trailer Shows First Footage of The Batman Spin-off

Warner Bros. has released the first The Penguin teaser trailer for the The Batman spin-off series, which will star Colin Farrell.

Farrell will be joined by Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, Theo Rossi, and more. The eight-episode series will debut in 2024 on the newly rebranded Max.

Set in the world of 2022’s The Batman, the HBO Max series will focus on Oswald Cobblepot. The Penguin will be based on the DC characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. It is being written by Lauren LeFranc, who is also set as the showrunner. The first two episodes will be directed by Craig Zobel.

The Penguin will be executive produced by The Batman‘s Dylan Clark and Matt Reeves, Farrell, LeFranc, Daniel Pipski, Adam Kassanand, and Rafi Crohn. It is a joint project between 6th and Idaho, DC Entertainment, Dylan Clark Productions, and Warner Bros. Television.
