EPL: He’s next to John Stones – Alan Shearer hails Saliba

Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer, has singled out Arsenal defender William Saliba for special praise following his performances this season for the Gunners.

Shearer said that Saliba is next to Manchester City defender John Stones.

According to him, the 22-year-old has been superb in most games for Mikel Arteta’s side this term.

Shearer said (via HITC): “Next to John Stones is William Saliba.

“He’s been superb in most of the games, and when he has not played, Arsenal have definitely missed him.”

Saliba’s current contract with Arsenal will expire in 2024.
