The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty release date is no longer set for 2025 as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to switch up its dates.

The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty release date is now set for May 1, 2026. It was previously dated a year prior for May, 2, 2025. It joins a lengthy list of Marvel delays as many movies saw rewrites and are impacted by the ongoing writers strike.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be directed by Shang-Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, who’s also currently working with Marvel Studios on its live-action series adaptation of Wonder Man. According to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige during the panel, both of the new Avengers films are currently planned to be the final entries in Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will begin with the introduction of the Fantastic Four into the MCU.

No cast has been announced for the movie, but it is expected to star Jonathan Majors as the titular villain.
