The Archies Trailer Previews Indian Movie Adaptation of Comic

A new The Archies trailer was shown at Netflix‘s Tudum event in Brazil, previewing the Indian musical adaptation of the iconic comic strips.

What is The Archies about?

“You’ve seen them in comics, in books, and in Riverdale — but this time around, you’ll see them in India,” reads the movie’s logline. “Set in the 60s, The Archies builds a world that’s both familiar and new.”

The Archies will be a coming-of-age story that aims to introduce a whole new generation of people in India to the now iconic characters in the world of Archie. The film will be produced by Tiger Baby and Graphic India and will premiere exclusively on Netflix.

Not too much about the story of the film is known just yet, but it will take place in 1960s India and will be directed by Zoya Akhtar.
