El Muerto Release Date Taken Off Sony Calendar for Spider-Man Spin-off

The El Muerto release date has been removed from the Sony calendar.

This Marvel superhero movie is set to star Bad Bunny as Juan-Carlos Sánchez/El Muerto and takes place in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. This film would be the next installment in the SSU after the two Venom movies, Morbius, and the upcoming Kraven the Hunter.

The movie was originally scheduled to release on January 12, 2024. However, it was taken off the release calendar. The next installments in the Sony Spider-Man Universe will be Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, releasing October 6, 2023, and Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson, releasing February 16, 2024.

“To bring El Muerto to life is just incredible… so exciting,” Bad Bunny told audiences at CinemaCon in 2022 when the project was first announced.
