All Fun and Games Release Date Set for Natalia Dyer-Led Thriller

Vertical announced on Wednesday that it had acquired the North American rights to All Fun and Games, a new horror thriller starring Natalia Dyer and Asa Butterfield.

What do we know about All Fun and Games?

All Fun and Games will be co-directed by Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu, both make their feature film debuts. The film is written by Costa, Celeboglu, and JJ Braider (Vampire Academy). Production companies Anton (The Night House) and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO (Everything Everywhere All at Once) are behind the project.

Alongside Dyer (Stranger Things) and Butterfield (Sex Education), the feature will also star Benjamin Ainsworth (The Haunting of Bly Manor), Laurel Marsden (The Pope’s Exorcist), Kolton Stewart (Locke & Key) and Annabeth Gish (Midnight Mass).

“The film explores the elements of cruelty inherent in children’s games – Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Hide & Seek – and what happens when the games go too far,” reads a brief synopsis for the film. “When a group of teens find a cursed knife in the woods, they unleash a malevolent demon that will not rest until it’s claimed all of their lives and souls in a terrifying deathmatch.”

All Fun and Games is slated for a day-and-date release of September 1, 2023.
