Ms. Marvel Season 2 Update: Producer Wants Fans to Keep Bugging Kevin Feige
One of the producers of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel has told fans how they can tell Marvel that they want Ms. Marvel Season 2.
What did the producer say about Ms. Marvel Season 2?
At San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, producer Sana Amanat spoke about the possibility of Ms. Marvel Season 2, asking fans to make it known to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige that they want more of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series.
“It’s great to see more demand,” Amanat stated (via Laughing Place). “You know, complain. I’m happy to have to guys complain to Kevin for more. Kevin, let’s get a Season 2.”
Ms. Marvel stars newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, serving as the live-action debut of the fan-favorite Marvel character. Vellani was joined by Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
Ms. Marvel was directed by executive producers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, with executive producer Bisha K. Ali serving as head writer.
Following the series, Vellani’s teen hero will next be seen in Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels, starring opposite Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris. The film is currently set for a November 10, 2023 release.
“The series introduces Kamala Khan — a 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City,” reads the official synopsis. “An aspiring artist, an avid gamer, and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she is a huge fan of the Avengers — and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world — that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.”
