The Zone of Interest Release Date Revealed for A24 Auschwitz Movie

The release date has been revealed for The Zone of Interest.

This upcoming A24 movie is written and directed by Jonathan Glazer (Under the Skin, Birth, Sexy Beast). “The commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig, strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp,” reads the official synopsis.

The film will have a limited release in the U.S. on December 8, 2023.

It stars Christian Friedel and Sandra Hüller. It is produced by James Wilson and Ewa Puszcyńska. Executive producers include Reno Antoniadis, Ollie Madden, David Kimbangi, Tessa Ross of House Productions, Len Blavatnik, and Danny Cohen from Access Entertainment. The film is co-financed by A24, Film4, Access Entertainment, and the Polish Film Institute.

The Zone of Interest world premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, where it took home the Grand Prix. The film will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival.
