Dicks: The Musical Trailer Reveals A24’s Raunchy Twist to The Parent Trap

A24 has dropped the official Dicks: The Musical trailer for its forthcoming raunchy comedy musical, featuring Nathan Lane and Megan Thee Stallion. The film will be having its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, and will be arriving in theaters on September 29.

The video introduces two businessmen who discover that they’re actually each other’s identical twin brother. To become a family again, they devised a “parent trap” plan to reunite their divorced mother and father.

What to Expect in Dicks: The Musical?

Dicks: The Musical is based on the off-Broadway musical titled F***ing Identical Twins from Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson, who are also starring in the film adaptation. Joining Sharp and Jackson are Megan Thee Stallion, Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, and Bowen Yang. This marks the Grammy-winning rapper’s feature acting debut.

“The film follows two self-obsessed businessmen who discover they’re long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents,” reads the synopsis.

The film is directed by Larry Charles from a screenplay written by Sharp and Jackson. It features original music from Sharp, Jackson, and Karl Saint Lucy.
