Loki Season 2 McDonald’s Collab Teased for MCU Disney+ Series
A Loki Season 2 McDonald’s collaboration seems to be in the works, with the fast-food giant teasing a new announcement set for next week in an ad that features the upcoming Disney+ series.
What do we know about the Loki and McDonald’s collaboration?
McDonald’s recently shared a brief video to social media showcasing the use of McDonald’s across a variety of different television shows and movies. Clips included moments from Seinfeld, The Devil is a Part-Timer, Coming to America, and The Office.
Finally, a brief image of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki standing in front a cashier (played by Sophia Di Martino) was shown.
McDonald’s teased more information would be arriving next week, on August 14, 2023. Set photos from the production of the series also showed both Hiddleston and Di Martino filming inside of a McDonald’s, although it’s unknown what they’ll be doing in the scene.
Currently, it’s unknown exactly what this collaboration will include. Judging by the ad, the company seems set to celebrate their popularity in media, which includes the upcoming second season of Loki. However, McDonald’s is also set to partner with Disney to product Happy Meal toys for Marvel Studios’ upcoming The Marvels, so it’s possible the companies will partner to make a Loki-themed meal or toy.
Who is in Loki?
The series stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. Besides Ke Huy Quan, Rafael Casal and Kate Dickie are also set to appear in Season 2.
Fans last saw the God of Mischief during the Season 1 finale. In the episode, he found himself trapped in another alternate reality of the TVA, after parting ways with Sylvie who killed Majors’ He Who Remains. Loki Season 2 is directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who recently helmed the Moon Knight series. The duo will be replacing Kate Herron, who will still remain on the project as its producer.
Season 2 hails from head writer and executive producer Eric Martin. The new installment will be executive produced by Martin, Hiddleston, and Season 1 head writer Michael Waldron.
