The Continental Trailer Previews Peacock’s John Wick Prequel Series

A new The Continental trailer has been released by Peacock, showing off some of the dynamic action that the John Wick prequel show will feature.

What happens in the new The Continental trailer?

The trailer shows Colin Woodell’s Winston — played by Ian McShane in the John Wick films — being thrust into a deadly situation because of his brother, who stole something important from the powerful individuals of The Continental.

The Continental: From the World of John Wick is described by Peacock as a three-part event. The first episode debuts on Friday, September 22, with the second following on September 29. The final episode drops on October 6.

“The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott,” per the official logline. “He’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.”

Along with Colin Woodell, cast members include Mel Gibson, Mishel Prada, Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allain, Ayomide Adegun, Jeremy Bobb, and Peter Greene.

The Continental is executive produced by Greg Coolidge Kirk Ward, and Shawn Simmons. Executive producers are Kolstad, Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk, David Leitch, Shawn Simmons, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Erica Lee. Episodes are directed by Albert Hughes and Charlotte Brandstrom.
